My grief at the cost of the overnighter in Staffordshire (Alton Towers) prompted me to go and check reviews online to seek out what others felt; perhaps I'd been too cynical and to be fair, spoilt, given generally good living during my work travels.
Fortunately, for me, there were many comments that echo'd my own; namely bad value, crap beds and most of all, over-priced, terrible fool. It made me feel a bit better, but only slightly.
On balance, there were a lot of positive reviews too, I can just assume these people don't get out much or have very low expectations. :)
