Busy

There's a ton of stuff on right now so I've been keeping my head down, not much I can really discuss either. Most of it is good and a lot of it is exciting in one way or another. Big things for T17 loom.

Yesterday I enjoyed a good night out with some developer pals in Leeds, where we did the usual Browns+Akbars+Mojo 'til late and I'm out and about in York tomorrow, with the missis actually since it's our 11yr wedding anniversary, so I'm likely to be on my best behaviour :)

Had a lunch with Charles Cecil yesterday and it appears his jacket ended up in the Ouse following the Northern exposure event...

Went to Akbars the other month, waited about 40 minutes for a table, and they weren't even that busy!

Is it usually like that?

Far from it, it's usually very quick - although they were lax with some Peshwari nan last night. There's two in Leeds, on the Headrow and on Greek Street, up from the station - the latter being much busier and larger.

Yeah we went to the Greek Street one, bought too many Naan Breads I remember.

I think we've met before to be honest, I live in Darton :)

Dead easy to over-do the Naan's... those colossal "family" naans are like that Casandra from Dr.Who (Paul Smith commented last night!).

Darton? Doesn't ring any bells..

Darton->Mapplewell->Barnsley. (Follow the A61 past Newmillerdam up the hill past the golf course)

My mother knew someone at Wakefield Junior Chamber, it was a few years ago now, 1998 i think ( half life was big in your office) you were working on a DreamCast game.

I know Darton, just wasn't sure I knew anyone in Darton :-) There was a guy here in Wakey Jr Chamber at the time, yes. At that time it was probably StuntGP or Worms Armageddon for Dreamcast (that was a nice console, shame it went pear-shaped).

Yeah, it was a bit ahead of it's time and wasn't made by Sony! It had online capabilities!

Yeah, can't really remember much, just remember "Are you sure you want to be a Games Programmer?" so I decided just be a Programmer, and come back to it later, which I did.
