Preparing for Germany

We had a pretty hectic weekend entertaining the neighbours; Saturday turned into a Singstar frenzy for the women (they'd got the latest Singstar Anthems release) - which they ended up on until very, very late.

However, it gave myself and Marc chance to watch the Pink Floyd Pulse DVD rather loudly in my cinema-room thing across the road. I was at the original concert that Pulse was taken from and it sounded amazing to hear it again at some ludicrous wattage.

Sunday was a more relaxed affair with Jackie & Simon turning up with their kids in the afternoon and we just chilled out with wine and beers. It's fair to say that there was a lack of the necessary "moderation" on the Saturday in particular.

Today, I've been across to Manchester to visit a games studio that potentially we're looking to work with, so we'll see how that pans out. There's a bunch of opportunities popping up all over the place and it's a matter of trying to marry up the best opportunities with the right people at the right time. With Team17 looking to expand and take on a bit more work, we're constantly looking for the right people to hook up with.

I also, amazingly enough, managed to bump into our Sony account managers in the station, which is crazy considering what a coincidence that is; they're based in London and are in Manchester as rarely as we are - and we always accuse each other of stalking the other...

Otherwise I'm getting stuff sorted for our trip to Leipzig next week and am quite relieved that at least the airport security stuff has loosened a little and now you can at least take some stuff on board now - otherwise these flights would be pretty dull. We're also travelling with a couple of pals, so it should be entertaining. Meetings are coming in for the event and we should run into a lot of industry people out there.
